In keeping with the AROC Sport reputation (think the awesome Angry Doctor course) there will be a huge amount of fantastic single track, well marked and groomed and making for a super fun and thrilling ride.
The 100km course will start at Kowen Forest on the Kings Highway side near Sparrow Hill. We are re-visiting some of the old 24 hour course and some new tracks here before heading through private land (you can not access this at any other time other than during the event) and to the famous Majura Pines for a whole lot of "whoops" and excited hollers before heading to Black Mountain, past the Cork Plantation and into the world class Mt Stromlo tracks.
The 50km course will join the course at Campbell Park Offices, Northcott Drive, Ainslie and head into the Majura Pines.

Red Flagged'/Untimed section.
A 6km section of the course uses a major road to link two sections of Canberra's great nature parks. As it is a major road with on and off ramps that could become dangerous at speed, this section will be untimed. You will have warning as to when the untimed section is approaching and obviously when it ends. The road will still have a traffic management system in place and traffic controllers to help ensure your safety. Please use your brain and take care along the road, it is untimed for your safety which is always our highest priority. Details of the untimed section is in the Competitor Brief.
There is a combination of public land, forests, and private land. You will not be able to ride all sections of the course other than on race day. If you want to train on the course, head out and do the tracks at Stromlo Forest Park, Majura Pines or go exploring in Kowen Forest.
Total ascent for the 100km is approximately 1500m.

Total ascent for the 50km is approximately 800m.
Feed stations for the 100km course will be located at 35km, 60km, 82km.
The feed station for the 50km course will be at 35km.
Each feed station will have water, Endura drink, Carman's muesli bars, Kraft Snackabouts (Vegemite), Endura gels, fruit buns, lollies and fruit.
The event is a point to point which does mean some organisation and thinking ahead. The easiest way will be to team up with some other riders and do a car shuffle. The car park at Stromlo Forest Park will be open between 5pm and 10:30pm on the Friday night and again at 4:30am on the Saturday morning. This means you can park one car ready at the finish and drive another to the start. There will be an official monitoring the vehicles parked at Stromlo overnight and at the start locations during the day until 6pm.
There will be busses (free service) available to take riders after the event from the finish at Stromlo Forest Park to the start (both the 50km start and the 100km start). Some of these busses will have bike trailers. There will be a secure bike compound at Stromlo Forest Park to leave your bikes while you get your vehicle. The busses will be running from 11:30am through to 6pm. It is on a first come first served basis. There are a number of busses so they will be running regularly.
