General Information

It's On! Capital Punishment is on for 2010

Capital Punishment will be here in Canberra on 29 May 2010. Entries will open Wednesday 17 March at 9am.

We will be using a new entry system and so everyone will be required to input all necessary personal details - ie previous AROC accounts will not be usable. Stay tuned for further information.

Kowen Forest will be getting an extra look-in for Capital Punishment for this year due to logging operations in Sparrow Hill. Whilst we are disappointed that the fantastic Sparrow Hill tracks will not be ridden this time around we are excited about the opportunity this has provided us with exploring Kowen Forest, some more of Majura and discovering another set of great single tracks. Don't worry - there is still just as much great single track and you will love it. The Mont 24 hour event will be the last event taking place in Sparrow Hill for 2010. For information on riding in Sparrow Hill while the logging operations occur see the CORC website.

What Is It?

Capital Punishment is a 50km and 100km mountain bike enduro.

The Capital Punishment course will take in the best of the Canberra single tracks including Sparrow Hill, Kowen Forest, Majura Pines, Black Mountain and Mt Stromlo. These famous single tracks will be linked via fire trails with only the minimum necessary bitumen. Note that for the 2010 event, Sparrow Hill will not be included. This area should be available again in 2011.
