After having to postpone the event in 2009 things are now looking very promising for 29 May 2010. We are all systems go however will not make an official announcement or open entries until we get the final sign off from all the relevant landholders.
Stay tuned! Trust Us - It will be worth waiting for!! This 100km and 50km mountain bike extravaganza will be the icon of MTB enduros.
The locals know they are on a good wicket with superb riding right outside the back door and there are many that travel to Canberra just for the mountain bike tracks - those ever so sweet single tracks ranging from the sweeping bends of Sparrow to the world class Mt Stromlo. Now you finally have the chance to link them all up in one amazing course - Capital Punishment.
The Capital Punishment course will take in the best of the Canberra single tracks including Sparrow Hill, Kowen Forest, Majura Pines, Bruce Ridge and Mt Stromlo. These famous single tracks will be linked via fire trails with only the minimum necessary bitumen.
Entries to Capital Punishment 2010 will open early February 2010. We do not have a precise date at this point but if you want to be notified by email when registration opens, make sure you have an AROC login. If you do not already have an AROC login then create one today by clicking here, and you will be kept updated about the event. Apologies about this delay.
