Alina started her career as a cross-country skier winning numerous sport
scholarships. She competed in the Australian cross-country ski team for many
years before making the Olympic Squad in 1994. She then moved into multi-sport
and rogaining where she had many early successes. This led her onto Adventure
Racing. Her adventure-racing career has been extensive and successful and
includes top three finishes in the Primal Quest, Eco-Challenge and the Southern
Traverse. She is the driving force behind team AROC.
Leaving a more mundane existence as a lawyer behind, Alina now runs AROC
Sport with husband Tom Landon-Smith.
