19.1.11: Lake Crackenback Carnival - 22 January 2011
A 10km MTB race and a 5km kids track around the Lake Crackenback Resort tracks with all registration fees going direct to the Starlight Childrens Foundation. This is a fantastic family fun day with stalls, fishing and lots of other activities at a beautiful location at the base of the Snowy Mountains. Download the flyer to find out more.
14.1.11: Get involved - We are seeking some helpers for the last two Paddy Pallin races of the season in Canberra and on the Central Coast. Tasks mainly involve helping set up and run registration, manning a transition area, helping pack up and if you're keen you could even help collect the checkpoints to get a feel of the course.
It is perfect for those with injuries or people looking to see what the race is all about as you'll receive a voucher to use at any of our races. The vouchers are transferable which means if you can talk a family member or friend into volunteering they can earn a voucher for you! You'll also get one of our limited edition yellow t's, lunch and the usual bag of gear. Email Dave if you're keen.

28.11.10: Race 2: Canberra 27 November 2010: Steve Hanley and his Egos Like Hairdos team mates Aaron Coles and Ian Warren sailed smooth through the entire course leading from the beginning and holding the lead to the end with 9 minutes to second place The Bexton Experience (Darren Southwell, Tim Prowse, Ben Exton). In jovial style Jeremy Gillman-wells, Gerard Tiffen, Marty Moose Porter of VO2Maz took out 3rd place. Full results <click here>. Full report coming shortly.
5.11.10: Kayak Training Session: come try out the kayaks used for the Paddy Pallin Adventure Races. Whether you're entered into the next event or you are thinking you might why not come have a try of the kayaks or get in a paddling training session. Tuesday 16 November 2010 from 5pm to 7pm at Commonwealth Place, Lake Burley Griffin (between the National Library and the National Gallery) - $10/person. Come any time between 5 and 7pm with your team, a friend or just by yourself.
4.11.10: The last Gear & Info Night of the season is thus moved from Tuesday 16 February 2011 to Wednesday 9 March 2011 at the Paddy Pallin Kent Street store in Sydney CBD.
2.11.10: Due to a slight reshuffle in AROC Sport's calendar of events, the last event of the season is moved from 12 March to 2 April 2011.
18.10.10: Results for the first event at Shellharbour are up. The wind made it interesting for registration and forced the local surf club to go home with a heap of raw sausages after they were unable to get the BBQ going. 20.9.10: New for the 2010-2011 series is the Series Point Score Competition. There will be trophies awarded to the best team (see Team Point Score) and best female and male racer (see Individual Point Score) over the 4 events of the series. In addition we have a very special lucky door prize for a person who has done all of the four events (see Loyalty Prize). The Point Score Competition is calculated over the following events: Race 1: 16 October 2010, Race 2: 27 November 2010, Race 3: 12 February 2011 & Race 4: 12 March 2011. Click here for more details.

1.7.10: The location of the first event in the Paddy Pallin Series on 16 October looks like it will be in the Wollongong area. We are just waiting on final approvals from the relevant landholders before we make an official announcement.

26.10.09: Entry issues: We are experiencing some issues with our entry system where there is a timeout problem. This is only happening for some people and should be fixed within the next 2 days. If you are having problems:
1. Have each person in the team create an AROC account/login if they don't already have one. Go to http://myprofile.arocsport.net/myprofile/createaccount.aspx
