WHY ADVENTURE?

Let's face it. Routine exercise is the chore of the new millennium. Once you've explored that same path thoroughly, it's just you and your willpower that keep you going. Put that attitude in the cupboard with last year's abdominal machine. Come and explore something new and fun and find your path to adventure. Adventure is as old as the human race and as fresh as the outdoor air.

Come and get active. Learn about the planet you live on. Explore land and water in a way that no other activity can hope to match. Most of all, come and discover a new piece of yourself with the company of friends, at your pace, under your steam, under your direction.

WHERE WILL IT TAKE ME?

AROC Sport Adventures are 2.5 to 5.5 hours of fun. You will complete the secret course together as a team. You ride, run, paddle and maybe even swim together. Multiple short stages and lots of transitions so you never haver very long on any one discipline. Paddle, run, paddle, bike, run, swim, run, bike..........together you must decide the best route from checkpoint to checkpoint.

WHAT DO I NEED?

All you need is some team mates, a mountain bike, sense of humour, compass and basic fitness. Teams must be made up of 3 people. You can enter as a mixed, male or female team. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category - major prizes for the mixed category.

Boats, paddles, life jackets, maps and race instructions are all provided by AROC Sport. We even provide a navigation lesson before each event.

The boats used for AROC Sport events are the Toy Boy Voyager III which are a 3 person sit-on-top plastic kayak. They are very stable and all 3 people paddle.
