Raising money for Clean Up Australia! |
The Corporate Adventure Challenger Series goal is not only to get you out there having fun, it is about raising the awareness for our environment and the need to look after it, not only for us but for future generations. One of the ways we can assist in the environment cause is to raise fund for Clean Up Australia.
Clean Up Australia is most well know for its Clean Up Australia Day started by founding director Ian Kiernan. Clean Up Australia now incorporates much more than collecting rubbish. Clean Up Australia is involved in tackling climate change, initiatives to reduce plastic bags, water saving and cleaning up our river systems which risk irreparable damage from pollution.
A portion of the entry fee goes to support Clean Up Australia and their environmental initiatives.
We are encouraging teams to raise additional funds. You will be able to see a list of teams that raise over $1,000 here on the event website. Teams that raise in excess of $5,000 will also receive a framed certificate of appreciation from Clean Up Australia signed by Ian Kiernan. All donations over $2 are tax deductible and can be made direct through the Clean Up Australia website.
So we can track your donations from your team we suggest that you gather a significant part of your fund raising moneys together, add it up and then make the donation through the Clean Up Australia website. Email us a copy of the receipt and the name of your team and we will start a running tally. When you make any further donations on behalf of your team send us the receipts and we will add it to your team tally.
