Equipment List

Adventure Racing is not on a fixed course and you will travel through bush and urban areas. For your safety there are certain items that each individual or team must carry during the event.

All competitors will need to supply their own mountain bike and helmet, food and water. If you are planning to be out after 6:30pm you will need to have head lights and bike lights.

In addition to the items on the equipment list you should also carry a BIKE LOCK. You will be responsible for the security of your bikes during the event and will need to lock your bikes up when doing many of the challenges.

We also recommend a digital camera (a cheap one is fine). You will need to be able to print from it. It might help you earn some additional points.

All challenges are provided for however you might like to carry extra money to buy food and drinks along the way. There are also some scavenger items where some extra cash might come in handy to acquire them.

AROC Sport will provide kayaks, paddles, life jackets, maps and instructions. You can use your own life jacket / PFD and paddle if you prefer.

Make sure you have a waterproof map case to keep your maps dry!
